SpriTec Xtra
The SpriTec Xtra is a Macromedia Director Xtra that allows you to quickly and easily export your Director Bitmap Cast Members as well as the Layout information of your Director Scores.
Export your Bitmap Cast Members as:
- .bmp files on the PC.
- PICT files on the Mac.
Export the layout information of your Director Scores into an easy-to-read (and easy-to-parse) text file, including, for each frame in your Scores:
- The frame number of the frame.
- The label of the frame.
- The member numbers of each bitmap cast member in the frame, in ascending channel order.
- The channel of each bitmap cast member in the frame.
- The location (top, left, bottom, right) of each bitmap cast member in the frame.
- The color assigned to each bitmap cast member in the frame.
Further, you can:
- Mark any of your bitmap cast members as exempt from exportation.
- Mark any of the occurances of bitmap cast members in a frame as exempt from exportation.
- Include in the layout information any text you wish by also exporting text cast members with the name of "Info".
Operation
Place the SpriTec Xtra within the Director Xtras folder and launch Director.
Perform the simple one-time set up of adding our lingo script (included with the Xtra) to your Score and creating a folder to receive the exported cast members.
Export! To do so, simply hold down the Alt Key (Command key on the Macintosh) and Play the Score. You can select Play from the Control menu or press the Play button in the Controls palette.
